For 2008, I resolve to write more. Blog posts. Grant applications. Research articles. My writing skills are atrophying from lack of use, and that's got to change.
There are other things I hope to do this year, but I'm keeping the "resolution" to just one thing, and something that I know is doable. Anything else will be gravy :)

Rock on. This is a good idea that I should try as well to keep writing up to par. I feel like mine was better when I blogged more as well (had more punch, used more variety of words, that kind of thing). Cheers to more writing!
I'm similarly resolved to do more writing, and specifically blogging (as well as to stop eating red meat, poultry, and "the other white meat" for at least three months) ... My new year's resolution policy is not to commit to them until January 30, which gives me a chance to try them out and tweak them if necessary but these seem pretty straightforward -- and doable.
One of my best resolutions ever was a few years ago when I resolved to spell out virtually all acronyms on their first usage in an email thread or blog post. This turns out to have been great at making me more conscious of jargon in general, and has helped make my communications at least somewhat more inclusive and clearer. Plenty of room for improvement, of course, but it really worked out well.
