states i've spent time in

Doing my map of visited states was a little harder than doing the countries. I started out with the criteria of "have spent the night there," so as to avoid including states I'd only flown over or walked through the airport of. However, I realized there were a number of states that I'd traveled visited on day trips (like Mississippi, when I lived in Alabama) that really seemed like they should be included, so I put those in as well.

The resulting map is interesting...clearly I've traveled a lot in the states, but I've not spent much time in the great plains. And I don't know how I managed to miss Wisconsin and Delaware when I visited all their its neighbors. Strange.

So, since everyone else is doing it, I thought I'd do the "States I've Visited" map. Like most other people, I've avoided including states where I've only had a layover in the airport. More confusing are those states I don't... Read More

Now I remember... You HAVE spent the night in Delaware.

Not too long after we got together we made a trip to the DC area to visit the Fays. After that we drove to Delaware to visit my ex-girlfriend, Karen. We stayed there one night.

Viola!

Now...how is it that when we visit one city (usually Toronto) in Canada, the whole country within the 'world' map turns red. But yet America has its own map, with individualized states?? Where ARE those Canadian coders??

Don't be so quick to criticize before you've actually visited the site. :)

World66 actually does give you options to build a map of Canadian provinces visited, and European countries visited. Since I've only been to Ontario, I didn't bother with the provinces map. I may go back and do the European countries map, though.

Ohhh I see.....so Canada was not worthy enough of your investigations! uh HUH! Clearly you need to redefine your priorities and visit the North so that your 'filled-up' North American map is more accurate!

*grin*

I have visited about 26 - not bad considering I am a canadian...but what would be more interesting to me is if people were to do this - based on the blogs that they read - both by US states and globally.....would give us some useful information about reading the blogosphere.
