The Rochester-area weblog meetup group has been sort of...well...dead. It's never reached the critical mass for a meeting, alas. But I've volunteered to be the organizer for the group, and hope I can coax some local webloggers to show up. It would be nice meet more blog-savvy folks in the area.
If you're interested, go to the Rochester Webloggers Meetup site, and RSVP for this Wednesday's kick-off meeting, which will be at Panera Bread on Hylan Drive (across from Marketplace Mall) at 7pm.
Why does the cool and interesting stuff always happen while I'm tutoring? :-P
I'll be there in spirit, how is that? :-)
As I think you're aware, I plan to be there, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just you and me. The largest Meetup I've attended locally was three people!
Nevertheless, I recently signed up as Rochester's Small Business Meetup organizer. It will be on Wednesday, January 26, 7:00 p.m. at Atlanta Bread on E. Henrietta Rd. (End shameless plug!) ;-)
Ah, local webloggers meeting. I will try to be there, assuming the weather and my schedule cooperate.
Brava for you for stepping up to instigate, Liz! The Seattle meetups were just a few people when we started, but we have a core group of 10 or 15 now, with totals in the twenties. You were at the big East Side meetup a few months ago, but subsequent gatherings have been smaller.
We always have fun whether the numbers are big or small.
